The cable is routed away from the unit to keep counters tidy, while multiple stand options give retailers the flexibility to place the scanner where it works best. The scanner has two modes: Stand Mode for hands-free scanning and Handheld Mode for when you pick it up. Stand mode supports fast, hands-free scanning. Handheld Mode is automatically activated by the built-in accelerometer and gives you targeted scanning with Datalogic’s Green Spot Technology for good-read confirmation. With its IP52-rated enclosure and drop resistance up to 1.2 meters, the Magellan 1500i is as tough as it is stylish — delivering reliable performance and smoother checkouts, day after day.

The scanner can quickly and easily read 1D, 2D, and Digimarc barcodes, including truncated, poorly printed, and damaged labels, or on smartphone screens, for future-ready performance and maximum decoding flexibility. It also supports GS1 Digital Link and OCR (Optical Character Recognition), which enables the scanner to capture not only barcodes but also printed text such as serial numbers, lot codes, or expiration dates. This top-performing scanner will adjust its illumination and depth of field to read barcodes quickly.
